LASUED Announces 3rd Inaugural Lecture on Adolescent Development and Social Responsibility
The management of the Lagos State University of Education has announced its 3rd Inaugural Lecture, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the institution’s Oto/Ijanikin Campus.

According to a statement released by the university, the lecture is titled “Stormy Seas of Adolescents: Stakeholders’ Contract in the Advancement of Normalcy” and will be delivered by Professor Morufu Adedayo Daodu, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and a Professor of Counselling Psychology in the Department of Guidance and Counselling, College of Specialized and Professional Education (COSPED).
The event is expected to examine the challenges associated with adolescent development and the collective responsibility of families, schools, communities, and institutions in promoting social stability and behavioural balance among young people.

The inaugural lecture will take place at the Sen. Oluremi Tinubu Hall by 2:00 p.m., while guests have been advised to be seated by 1:30 p.m.
The event will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye.
The university management extended invitations to members of the academic community, education stakeholders, students, and the general public to attend the lecture.
The Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Mr. Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa, is expected to serve as host representative for the event.
