LASUED Announces Matriculation Ceremony for 2025/2026 Session

The Management of the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) has announcedits matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a statement issued by the Registrar and Secretary to Senate, Mrs. Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa, the event will be conducted in a hybrid format. Students will physically gather at the main campus in Oto/Ijanikin, while those at the Odo-Noforija, Epe campus can join virtually.

College officers across both campuses have been directed to coordinate the collection of academic gowns from the University stores between Tuesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The gowns are to be distributed to matriculating students upon presentation of proof of payment of the N15,000 matriculation fee.

LASUED further instructed that all matriculating students must be punctual and conduct themselves in an orderly manner throughout the ceremony. Each College is also expected to forward the name of one student who will sign the matriculation register on behalf of their respective College.

The Registrar emphasized that all gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony, warning that defaulters will attract a penalty of ₦5,000 for each day of delay.

The directive was distributed to College Officers across all academic units, including Humanities Education, Information and Communication Technology, Management Sciences Education, and Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education, among others.
