LASUED Vice-Chancellor Hosts Newly Formed Cadet Officers, Charges Them to Uphold Integrity

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, received the newly formed LASUED Cadet Officers on Friday, 12 December 2025, in her office, urging them to maintain exemplary conduct and uphold strong moral values.

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, received the newly formed LASUED Cadet Officers on Friday, 12 December 2025, in her office, urging them to maintain exemplary conduct and uphold strong moral values.

Commending the cadets for fostering a strong partnership with the University’s security personnel, Prof. Lafiaji-Okuneye emphasized the importance of discipline and integrity. She stated, “The objective you have started with should not be eroded. Maintain a high level of integrity and shun all acts that may bring your families, the cadet corps, and the University into disrepute. Let people see you as individuals of integrity; this will make you excel in life.”

The Vice-Chancellor assured the cadets that all issues raised during the visit would be given due attention by the University Management.

In his remarks, Dr. Dawodu Rasheed Adegbenro, Dean of Students’ Affairs, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and management for their continued support, noting that the visit provided the cadets an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the University’s leadership.

Commanding Officer Bello Faisal expressed gratitude for the support received and appealed for ongoing backing for the Cadet Officers. The meeting was also attended by Major General (rtd) Yishawu Paul, Chief Security Officer, and Mrs. Sami Omolara, Deputy Registrar, Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

The highlight of the event was the conferment of the title of Grand Patron of the Organization on Professor Lafiaji-Okuneye, in recognition of her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the Cadet Officers’ development and success.
