Magongo Development Association Pledges Total Support to New FULOKOJA Vice-Chancellor

The Magongo Development Association on Thursday 5th March 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, to congratulate him on his appointment as the 4th Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

The delegation, which was led by the Lokoja Branch Chairman of the Association, Mr. Felix Balogun, said the visit was to express the community’s joy and pride over Professor Ibileye’s emergence as the chief executive of the university.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman noted that the association and the entire Magongo community were confident in the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership and capacity to move the university to greater heights.

He further assured Professor Ibileye of the association’s full support throughout his tenure, emphasizing that the Magongo Development Association would continue to stand by him in his efforts to advance the growth and development of the Federal University Lokoja.

“We are here to congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment as the 4th Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja. We are proud of this achievement and we want to assure you of our total support as you carry out this important responsibility,” the representative said.

In his response, Professor Ibileye expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and the goodwill shown towards him. He described the gesture as encouraging and a demonstration of the strong bond between the university and the community.

The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed his commitment to serve diligently and uphold the trust placed in him. He also reiterated his determination to lead the university with integrity and dedication.
