The Academic and Industrial Placement Unit (AIPU) has announced that, starting immediately, Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates must complete one year of industrial training to be eligible for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) registration.

In a recent memo released in early September, the Academic and Industrial Placement Unit (AIPU) of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana has announced a new requirement for Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates.

Starting immediately, all HND graduates must complete a one-year industrial training program before they can register for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps.

The new regulation is designed to ensure that prospective corps members present proof of their industrial training as a prerequisite for registration. The AIPU's decision aims to address and prevent potential registration issues at the NYSC camps.
