Meet the Best Graduating Pharmacy Student of UDUS Onimisi Godwin, a First-Class Graduate With a Heart for Healing

A young boy from Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State, stepped into Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) with a burning dream to graduate as a first-class pharmacist. 

Today, that boy is no longer just a dreamer.

 Onimisi Abiodun Godwin has graduated with First-Class Honours and emerged as the Best Graduating Student in Pharmacy from UDUS. 

But his journey was far from smooth.

From childhood, he carried a deep passion for drug dispensing, healing, and patient safety. Pharmacy was not just a course to him; it was a calling. 

“I’ve always loved Pharmacy because it promotes proper treatment and ensures patient safety,” he told Vanguard Press.

Throughout his years in UDUS, he stood out not only academically but also as a teacher to his peers, breaking down complex concepts in pharmacology, drug formulation, and drug preparations. Many students understood better because of him. 

 His CGPA journey is simply outstanding:

 100 Level – 4.74

 200 Level – 4.86

 300 Level – 4.86

 500 Level – 4.74

He never missed lectures.

 He studied deep into the night.

He created personal notes.

He pushed through financial challenges.

 And above all, he believed in his dream. 

Today, Onimisi’s passion and resilience have paid off. He looks forward to contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s healthcare system, helping discover better cures, and ensuring safer treatments for patients nationwide.
