It is with great excitement that we announce the new executive team for the National Association of Edo State Students (NAESS) at Bayero University Kano (BUK) for the 2024/2025 academic session. Our association remains steadfast in its mission to empower Edo State students through unity, academic excellence, and the celebration of our rich cultural heritage.
The newly elected executives are eager to foster a supportive and inclusive community where every Edo State student feels valued and inspired to achieve their highest potential. The new team is as follows:
- President: Ahmed Usman
- Vice President: Esene Glory
- General Secretary: Mohammed Amin
- Financial secretary: Abbas Hiebulla
- chief press ser: kauthar Aliu
- Assistant Welfare: Abdulganiyu Sekinat
- Welfare Officer: Latifa Abdul
In his address, President Ahmed Usman emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among students. "Our strength lies in our unity. By coming together, we can create a community that supports each other academically, socially, and culturally. Let's work hand in hand to promote academic excellence and celebrate our Edo heritage," he stated.

The financial secretary Abbas Hiebulla, highlighted plans for the upcoming session, including academic support programs, cultural events, and community service projects aimed at giving back to the larger BUK community. "We have a vibrant and diverse culture that we are proud of. Our events will not only showcase our heritage but also help bridge the gap between different cultures within the university," she added.
The Welfare Officer, Latifa Abdul, urged members to stay engaged and active in association activities. "Communication and participation are key to our success. We encourage all members to be involved and contribute their ideas and talents to our various initiatives," Aghahowa said.
