Modibbo Adama University Establishes Specialized MAU Business School; Appoints Pioneer Directors
Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has taken another significant step in its pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional development with the establishment of the MAU Business School.
The establishment of the Business School, is in line with the vision and strategic development agenda of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, whose administration has continued to record remarkable achievements in teaching, research, infrastructure development, innovation, strategic partnerships, and community engagement since assuming office.

The MAU Business School, is conceived as a centre of excellence for advanced business education, executive training, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and professional capacity building.
It is expected to serve as a platform for producing highly skilled business leaders, public sector managers, entrepreneurs, policy experts, and corporate executives capable of competing effectively in today's rapidly evolving global economy.
To provide effective leadership for the new institution, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the appointment of Prof. Bashir Ahmad Daneji of the Department of Banking and Finance as the pioneer Director of the Business School and Dr. Dahiru Dauda Hammawa of the Department of Business Administration as the Deputy Director.
The successful establishment of the MAU Business School is also attributable to the vision, commitment, and tireless efforts of Prof. Ibrahim Danjuma, a renowned Professor of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship; an International Management Consultant and Director General Debt Management Agency, Adamawa State.
As Chairman of the Business School Establishment Steering Committee, Prof. Danjuma provided the strategic leadership that guided the conceptualization, planning, and development of the initiative.
His unwavering commitment to expanding the University's academic and professional offerings was instrumental in transforming the idea into a reality, culminating in the establishment of the MAU Business School.
Prof. Danjuma applauded the Vice-Chancellor for supporting such initiative and for his tireless efforts towards transforming the institution to meet global standard and he also appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for finding him worthy of leading the MAU Business School Establishment Steering Committee.
The establishment of the MAU Business School, places Modibbo Adama University among a growing number of institutions that have invested in specialized business and management education, including the renowned Lagos Business School and Dangote Business School, which have made significant contributions to the development of business professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders in Nigeria.
The MAU Business School has lined up a number of customized programs in academic, professional, and executive programmes designed to meet the needs of both the public and private sectors.
The Business School, will also seek strategic collaborations with industry leaders, government agencies, financial institutions, development organizations, and international academic institutions to ensure that its programmes remain relevant, practical, industry-driven, and globally competitive.
