NAMSSN Gombe State University Chapter Hosts Successful Mathematics Quiz Competitions

Under the dynamic leadership of Chapter President Comr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, the National Association of Mathematical Science Students of Nigeria (NAMSSN) at Gombe State University (GSU) recently organized two thrilling competitions: the Secondary School Mathematics Quiz and the Inter-Departmental Mathematics Quiz.

The Secondary School Mathematics Quiz witnessed impressive performances from various schools, with Matrix International Academic Gombe clinching the top position as representatives at the Zonal Level. Notably, Nana Asma'u Academy secured the 2nd position, followed by Kanadi Academy in 3rd place. Jibwis Islamic Science Secondary School Arawa and Modibbo Memorial Academy secured the 4th and 5th positions, respectively.

In the Inter-Departmental Mathematics Quiz, the Chemistry Department demonstrated their prowess by claiming the 1st position, while the Mathematical Science Department secured the 2nd position. The Computer Science Department proudly took the 3rd spot, with the Basic Medical Science (MBBS) Department securing the 4th position.

The event, held at the Old MPH Gombe State University, was a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants and organizers. The competition, conducted on the 11th of December, 2023, commenced at 9:00 am.
