The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has expressed profound sorrow over the untimely death of Ruth Obadon Otabor, a mother of two and student at Auchi Polytechnic. She succumbed to severe injuries sustained in a road accident involving a cement truck and later died at Lagoon Hospital in Lagos.

Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, NAPS President, described her passing as a poignant reflection of the ongoing risks students face on Nigerian roads. Despite swift medical intervention, Otabor tragically did not survive.
