NASA Confers Fellowship on NOUN Dutse Centre Director Dr. Ahmed Tanimu Mahmoud

Director, Dutse Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Dr. Ahmed Tanimu Mahmoud, was conferred with the title of Fellow by the Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Association of Practitioners (NASA).

The honour was bestowed on him during the association’s 30th Annual Conference held at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

Dr. Mahmoud is a distinguished scholar from the Department of Criminology and Security Studies of the university.

The honour recognises Dr. Mahmoud’s outstanding contributions and expertise in areas such as child soldiers, violent crimes, gang behaviour, police science, intelligence gathering, and arms trafficking.

Reacting to the development, the Dutse Centre director said his recognition has further underscored NOUN’s growing reputation for excellence in research, scholarship, and national development.
