Nasarawa State University Law Clinic Emerges Winner Of 17th NCCC, To Represent Nigeria In Netherland

The Law Clinic of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi(NSUK) has emerged as the winner of the 17th National Interviewing and Counseling Skills Competition (NCCC) hosted by the Network of University Legal Aid Institutions (NULAI) monitored by myschoolnews.

The NSUK team comprised of Faith Gimba (SUG Vice President) and Matthew Obinna Jude defeated eighteen(18) other university teams to emerge as the winner of the competition.

The preliminary rounds were held virtually from January 31-February 1, 2023 while the semifinal and final rounds held on-site hosted by the Faculty of Law, BAZE University, Abuja on Friday February 17, 2023.

With this result, NULAI, on Monday said Nassarawa State University, Keffi(NSUK) will represent Nigeria at the 2023 Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition. This year’s international competition will be hosted by University of Maastricht in the Netherlands from 11-15 April 2023.

Nineteen university teams took part in the competition. They include Abia State University Absu LawClinic, Achievers University, Ahmadu Bello University Abu Lawclinic, Ambrose Alli University, Bauchi State University, Bayero University, Baze University, Ebonyi State University EBSU LAW Clinic, Edo State University and Edwin Clark University. 

Others are Kogi State University(KSU) Anyigba Law Clinic, Nassarawa State University NSUK Law Clinic, Redeemer’s University, University of Abuja, University of Ibadan Women's Law Clinic, University Of Ibadan, University of Illorin Legal Aid Clinic, University of Ilorin, University of Jos, University of Maiduguri and Usman Danfodio University.
