NELFUND Expands Loan Programme to Vocational Skills Centres

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the expansion of its loan programme to vocational skills centres across the country.

This initiative aims to support young Nigerians interested in acquiring vocational skills in areas such as fashion design, technical trades, and other hands-on professions.

NELFUND will open a portal for applicants to apply for vocational skills training, which will direct them to designated centres in their respective states.

The Executive Director of Operations at NELFUND, Iyal Mustapha, stated that the programme is designed to promote skill acquisition and economic development, particularly for Nigerian youths who are not pursuing traditional university education. This development is in line with President Bola Tinubu's directive to expand the student loan programme to include skill development initiatives.
