NES Honours OGITECH Rector for Eco-Friendly Initiatives
The Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) has honoured the Rector of Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, with an Award of Excellence for his contributions towards creating an eco-friendly campus environment.
The Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) has honoured the Rector of Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, with an Award of Excellence for his contributions towards creating an eco-friendly campus environment.

The award was presented during a courtesy visit by the society on Monday, 1st September 2025.

The NES commended Dr. Oluseye for his initiatives, which include the establishment of a love garden, extensive landscaping, tree planting, and infrastructural improvements that have enhanced the institution’s aesthetic outlook. Speaking on behalf of the society, Dr. Henry Anwan, Chairman of the NES OGITECH Chapter, appreciated the Rector and his management team for their commitment to ensuring a conducive atmosphere for both staff and students.

In his response, Dr. Oluseye expressed gratitude for the recognition and disclosed that his PhD research project, “Inscribing the Environment: An Eco-critical Study of Third-Nigerian Poetry in English,” was deeply rooted in environmental studies. He also announced his interest in becoming a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society and pledged to pay his dues.
The visit underscored OGITECH’s growing dedication to environmental sustainability and highlighted Dr. Oluseye’s leadership in advancing eco-friendly practices on campus.
