Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers Donates Textbooks to FUTA, Strengthens Collaboration
The Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) donated 30 professional textbooks to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) to support the Department of Estate Management.

The Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has donated 30 professional textbooks to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). The donation was presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, for onward delivery to the Department of Estate Management during a working visit by the NIESV delegation on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Leading the delegation, Estate Surveyor Akintomide Akinlabi emphasized that the visit aimed to strengthen collaboration with FUTA. He highlighted the vital role education plays in shaping the future of the profession and reaffirmed NIESV’s commitment to supporting students, whom he described as the future of estate surveying and valuation.
Akinlabi noted that the national president of NIESV has consistently advocated for fostering collaborations to advance the profession in Nigeria. In addition to donating books, he reaffirmed that estate surveying and valuation firms would continue to accept FUTA students for the mandatory six-month Industrial Training program, further enhancing their practical experience.
He also praised the leadership of the Department of Estate Management, under Professor Victoria Bello, for its steady growth and development. Expressing gratitude to FUTA’s management for their warm reception despite short notice, he acknowledged the university’s dedication to academic excellence.
In response, Vice-Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji commended NIESV for its thoughtful initiative. She emphasized that books play a crucial role in capacity development and lauded the collaboration as a meaningful step toward societal impact. Professor Oladiji affirmed FUTA’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with NIESV to enhance learning and professional development in estate management.
