Nnamdi Azikiwe University Launches Prince Arthur Eze Annual Lecture Series

Nnamdi Azikiwe University has formally inaugurated the Prince Arthur Eze Annual Lecture Series, a high-profile intellectual initiative aimed at fostering dialogue on entrepreneurship, philanthropy, leadership, and development in Nigeria and across Africa.

The Lecture Series underscores the University’s belief that sustainable national and continental progress is driven not by government alone, but by visionary individuals, robust institutions, innovative ideas, and ethical leadership.

The initiative will serve as a recurring platform for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and business leaders to critically explore the intersections of entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and responsible leadership as tools for societal transformation.

In inaugurating the implementing Committee, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie highlighted the strategic value of the Lecture Series in advancing postgraduate education, promoting interdisciplinary research, and enhancing UNIZIK’s global academic profile.

“This is not merely a commemorative exercise,” Prof. Anyaehie stated. “It is an intellectual investment. The Lecture Series will convene rigorous engagement on development challenges and position the University as a leading hub for ideas shaping Africa’s future.”

A distinguished Committee has been appointed to provide strategic leadership and ensure effective implementation of the Lecture Series.
