Northwest University Kano Seeks Philanthropic Support for Development

Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, Vice Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, led a high-profile delegation to meet with Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, Chairman and CEO of A. A. Rano Group of Companies.

The visit aimed to secure philanthropic support for the university's development and academic excellence.

Alhaji Rano welcomed the delegation and praised the university's progress under Professor Kurawa's leadership. He acknowledged the significant strides made in infrastructure, academic excellence, and institutional growth, stating that the level of development attained is "truly commendable." Alhaji Rano assured the delegation of his willingness to contribute to the university's development, saying, "I will be part of this project and will make my contribution soon."

Professor Kurawa highlighted the university's achievements and emphasized the crucial role of philanthropists in supporting infrastructural projects. He reiterated his administration's commitment to making Northwest University one of Nigeria's leading institutions.

 

The delegation included top university officials, such as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) Dr. Tijjani Rufa’i Buhari, Registrar Adm. Isyaku Adamu, and Bursar Malam Salmanu Muhammad Kibiya, among others. This visit aligns with Professor Kurawa's mission to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring sustainable development and a bright future for the university.
