Northwest University Kano VC, DVC, and Registrar Honored with Prestigious Awards by Nigerian Institute of Management

 The leadership of Northwest University Kano was recognized for their outstanding contributions to education and management at the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) Kano chapter’s award ceremony held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the 10 to 10 Restaurant and Event Center in Kano. 

 

Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, the Vice Chancellor, Northwest University Kano, received the Organizational Award for his exceptional support, leadership, and motivation that led to the success of the Kano chapter. His dedication played a key role in the successful hosting of the Northwest Zonal Summit and the chapter’s recognition as the "Best Chapter" in 2024. This award highlights his significant contribution to the university's success and its growing influence in the region.

 

Adm. Isyaku Adamu, the Registrar, Northwest University, was also honored with an award for his remarkable efforts in management. Adm. Adamu, who also delivered the Management Day Lecture at the event, presented a thought-provoking talk on the theme "Effective Human Resource Management: A Panacea to Organisational Performance in the 21st Century." His leadership, both in the university and within the Kano chapter of NIM, earned him recognition for his dedication to enhancing organizational efficiency and human resource management practices.

Additionally, Professor Abubakar Salisu Garba, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, received the Leadership impact award for his significant support and contributions to both the national and zonal levels of the Nigerian Institute of Management. His tireless efforts in strengthening the institute's operations and his impact on the management community were celebrated during the event.

 

In his acceptance speech, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa expressed heartfelt thanks to the Nigerian Institute of Management for recognizing him and promised to continue working diligently for the advancement of education and humanity. His remarks emphasized that the awards reflect not only his personal commitment but also the collective efforts of the entire Northwest University Kano community.
