NOUN Alumni Association Pledges Support to Enugu Study Centre
In response, Professor Okonkwo appreciated the association's visit, acknowledging their shared commitment to serving humanity.
A delegation from the South-East Chapter of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) visited the Enugu Study Centre to pledge support and explore areas of collaboration.
The delegation, led by Mr. Stanley Abugu, Chairman of the Enugu State Chapter of NOUNAA, represented the National President, Mr. Ifegwu Kingsley Obukwelu. During the visit, Abugu expressed satisfaction with the reception at the centre and emphasized the association's interest in the development of the Enugu Study Centre. He also highlighted the purpose of the visit, which was to identify areas where NOUNAA could assist in enhancing the centre’s operations.
Abugu extended gratitude to the Centre Director, Professor Charity Akuadi Okonkwo, for providing the association with a functional operational office. He commended the positive working relationships among the centre’s staff.
In response, Professor Okonkwo appreciated the association's visit, acknowledging their shared commitment to serving humanity. She urged NOUNAA to participate in the university's advocacy campaign and contribute in other areas within their capacity to further the development of the centre.
The delegation included several NOUNAA representatives, such as Dr. T. C. Amadike, Vice-Chairman of the South-East Chapter; Mrs. Chidinma Mba, Assistant Secretary; Ambassador Mrs. Florence Obi, BOT member; Mr. Osondu C. James, Treasurer; Mr. Mba Nwite Franklin, Public Relations Officer; Mr. Nnaji Silva, Desk Officer; and members Mr. Igwenagu and Mr. Okeke Kenneth.
