NOUN Deputy Vice-Chancellor Appointed Chairman, Security Trustees Board

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Shehu Usman Adamu, has been officially appointed as the Pioneer Chairman of the Board of Incorporated Trustees for the Network for the Promotion of Security and Safety in Cadastral Zone C00, Abuja.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Shehu Usman Adamu, has been officially appointed as the Pioneer Chairman of the Board of Incorporated Trustees for the Network for the Promotion of Security and Safety in Cadastral Zone C00, Abuja.

The appointment was communicated through a formal letter from the Executive Director of the Network, Mr. Fredrick A. Hayes, noting that Prof. Adamu’s nomination and unanimous selection occurred during the Network’s inaugural board meeting on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the IHVN Conference Room in Abuja.

Mr. Hayes highlighted that the decision followed careful deliberation by board members and was based on Prof. Adamu’s outstanding record in service, administrative excellence, and academic leadership—qualities that have defined his tenure at NOUN.

The Executive Director further stated that Prof. Adamu’s performance as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) positioned him as the most suitable leader to guide the organisation during its foundational phase. Under his leadership, the Network aims to advance its objectives, particularly enhancing security and safety within Cadastral Zone C00 of the Federal Capital Territory.

Mr. Hayes expressed confidence that Prof. Adamu’s chairmanship would bring strategic direction, credibility, and operational insight to the Board’s initiatives.
