Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), was among the distinguished attendees at the 2nd Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi Annual Diamond Lecture on Saturday, 25th October 2025, held at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre, Maitama, Abuja.

The lecture featured His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State and Visitor to NSUK, as the keynote speaker. Organized jointly by DAAR Communications PLC, owners of AIT and Raypower FM, and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the event focused on the theme “Communication and Development.”

The lecture commemorated the late High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, celebrated for pioneering independent broadcasting in Nigeria and establishing Raypower FM (1994) and AIT (1996). A highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of an Honorary Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Governor Sule in recognition of his leadership and contributions to public communication and governance.

Other notable attendees included Senator Ben Obi, Chairman of the event; Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State and serving Senator; and Engr. Abubakar Momoh, Honorable Minister of Regional Development. The event underscored NSUK’s support for initiatives that link governance, communication, and societal development.
