NUC Accreditation Team Visits Kashim Ibrahim University

Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU) has received a visit from the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team for the assessment of the Department of Biochemistry. The team, led by Prof. James Omale of Prince Abubakar Audu University, was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babagana Gutti.

The NUC team is conducting a thorough assessment of the department's programs, facilities, and faculty to ensure compliance with NUC standards. The Vice-Chancellor assured the team of the university's full cooperation and highlighted the institution's commitment to maintaining high standards and quality in the department.

The Vice-Chancellor also informed the team that the institution's name has officially changed from Borno State University to Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU). He expressed confidence that the Biochemistry program is on the right track, thanks to the mentorship of the University of Maiduguri.
