NYCN Honors NSUK VC Prof. Suleiman

The Nasarawa State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Keffi Branch has honoured the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed with a grand reception in recognition of his landmark achievement and contribution to the development of the University.

The grand reception which was held on Saturday 25th November 2023, at the Assembly Hall of the University had many prominent personalities in attendance including the lawmaker representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, who served as the Chairman of the occasion and the Accountant-General of Nasarawa State, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed who was the guest speaker.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were the state chairman of the APC, Hon. Aliyu Bello, the member representing Keffi, Karu, Kokona Federal Constituency, Hon. Gaza Gbefwi, the member representing Nasarawa-Toto Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulmumin Ari, the Chairman Keffi Local Government Council represented by the Deputy Chairman Hon. Vincent Anzaku and the Sarkin Laminga amongst many other personalities.

In their respective submissions, speakers at the reception were all in agreement with the massive transformation that Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed brought to Nasarawa State University, Keffi, both in terms of infrastructure and the introduction of new academic programmes which have further broadened the educational horizon of the University, not forgetting his welfarist policies which have allowed for cordial working relationships with industrial unions on campus.

Responding, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed thanked the leadership of the NYCN and the distinguished invited guests for recognizing his modest contribution towards making the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, a 21st-century citadel of learning noting that the University project is a work in progress which should be sustained and supported by all.

The highlights of the event were the presentation of a commendation letter to Professor Suleiman by the NYCN leadership and invited guests present.
