In consonance with the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme which comes to an end tomorrow with skill sets competition, the programme has wrapped up its lecture series today with Funding Options lecture.

Myschoolnews learnt the SAED program began its lectures with Mr Obinna Ajana, from the Central Bank of Nigeria, who sensitized the corps members on funding options made available by the federal government, which they can access after going through skill acquisition.

 

Mrs Fadekemi Adesanya from Fund Managers Association of Nigeria gave lecture on "investment in Capital Market."

In a rather different type of business and self-reliance strategy, Mr Falana Kolawole of TechnoServe carried out awareness campaign on the "Nutritional value of Cashew nuts," and on how they can make money from cashew nuts.

 

The need for corps members after learning and perfecting their skills, to have their businesses registered, Mrs Kemi Sagay was readily available from the Corporate Affairs Commission to deliver a lecture with the topic, "Awareness on Company Registration."

Small and Medium Scale Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria(SMEDAN) was on ground. An official of the Agency, Mr. Oluwole Olutobi delivered a lecture on "Streaming skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development."

 

In order to arm corps members with information on employability and other opportunities, Miss Yetunde Adeniyi from the Migrant Resource Center, Ikoyi under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, delivered a lecture on "Safe and Regular Partnering on Manpower Employability, Training and Job Placement."

 

With the curtains drawn on SAED lectures in the 2023 Batch "B" Stream I Orientation Course, the way has now been paved for SAED In-Camp training to end tomorrow with Skill sets competition
