NYSC Lecture: Corps Members Urged to Adhere to NYSC Dress Code

2023 Batch "B" Stream II Orientation Course corps members have been told to adhere strictly to the NYSC dress code and shun improper dressing which is inimical to the image of the scheme.

Myschoolnews reports this message was passed by an official of the Planning Research and Statistics, Mr. Kunle Olarenwaju, today, during the Planning, Research and Statistics(PRS) lecture at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.

Giving an illustration of the NYSC dress code and improper dressing, Mr. Kunle Olarenwaju said tying the NYSC jacket around the waist or using it to straddle a child by nursing mothers is prohibited.

He also gave illustrations like; wearing the cap backward, sassy dressing, fitting of uniform, rascal dressing, using uniform or part of uniform not given by the NYSC is prohibited.

Meanwhile, earlier, while delivering the PRS lecture, Head of the Branch at the NYSC Lagos State Secretariat in Surulere, Mrs Bridget Joe-Tagbo, said the functions of the PRS Branch is a derivation of its parent Department at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, saddled with the responsibility of planning for the activities of the scheme, carrying out surveys for proper planning and calendaring for the programmes of the scheme.

She added that the PRS as a policy-making body of the scheme also relates with relevant bodies collaborating with the scheme such as, the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, and Man 'O' War etc

Making clarification about how the PRS gathers its data, she enlightened the corps members on the five important forms that are needed to be filled during the service year.

These forms are; Form 2A, Form 2B, Form 2C, Form 4A and Form 4B.

As an exercise during the lecture, corps members were instructed to log on to the website, www.nyscevaluations.com.ng to fill Form 4A which is an opinion survey administered during Orientation course.
