Oduduwa Polytechnic Management Refutes Extortion Allegations Against Lecturer

The management of Oduduwa Polytechnic, Lagos, has issued a statement refuting allegations of extortion and result withholding involving one of its lecturers, as reported in the media. The incident allegedly involved a female student and a lecturer from the institution.

Contrary to the media report, which stated that the student in question was enrolled at Oduduwa Polytechnic, Lagos, the institution's management has denied any association with the incident, asserting that neither the student nor the lecturer are recorded in their database.

In an official statement, the institution clarified, "Our institution, Oduduwa Polytechnic, had nothing to do with the said story. We don’t have any record of both the staff and the student in our database."

Addressing the discrepancy in location reported by the media, the management emphasized that Oduduwa Polytechnic is situated in Lagos, not in Ile-Ife, Osun State, as erroneously mentioned in the newspaper report. Additionally, the institution highlighted that the accompanying image used in the report depicted Oduduwa Polytechnic, Lagos, despite the reference to Oduduwa Polytechnic, Ile-Ife, in the article.

The institution concluded by urging the public to disregard the reported story, asserting that it is unrelated to Oduduwa Polytechnic, Lagos.
