UNIOSUN Appoints Mr. Hammed Olugbenga Adams as Acting Bursar
Summary: Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has announced the appointment of Mr. Hammed Olugbenga Adams as the Acting Bursar, following the completion of the tenure of the previous Bursar, Mr. Bolarinwa Feruke.
The Management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Hammed Olugbenga Adams as the Acting Bursar. This decision comes following the conclusion of the tenure of the 2nd substantive Bursar, Mr. Bolarinwa Feruke, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
The appointment of Mr. Adams was detailed in a press release issued by the University's Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, on the same day. Adesoji revealed that Mr. Adam's appointment was duly approved by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor 'Wale Oladipo, on behalf of the apex decision-making body of the University.
The University had previously advertised the positions of the Registrar, Bursar, and Librarian on November 27, 2023. However, Mr. Bolarinwa Feruke's tenure expired before the selection process could be completed, leading to the necessity of appointing an Acting Bursar to prevent a gap in the administration.
Mr. Adams, who had risen through the ranks to become the Deputy Bursar as of October 1, 2022, will officially assume his new role on Wednesday, April 3. He will serve as the Acting Bursar until the selection process for the 3rd substantive Bursar of the University is finalized.
The appointment of Mr. Adams underscores UNIOSUN's commitment to ensuring smooth administrative transitions and continuity in governance. With his wealth of experience and dedication to service, Mr. Adams is expected to contribute significantly to the financial management and development of the University.
