Okeke Joy Nkiruka, a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics/Igbo at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), has been appointed Deputy Director of the Centre for Igbo Language and Culture.

Okeke Joy Nkiruka, a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics/Igbo at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), has been appointed Deputy Director of the Centre for Igbo Language and Culture.

A passionate advocate for Igbo language and culture, Okeke holds a BA in Igbo Language and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Ibadan. She is an active member of Otu Subakwa Igbo and participates in professional associations including the Igbo Studies Association and the Linguistics Association of Nigeria, among others.

In her current role as Deputy Director, she continues to contribute to the promotion and development of Igbo language scholarship and cultural studies at COOU.
