Kalu, who has been supporting academic excellence through the Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation since 2014, shared the news on his verified Facebook page, expressing his congratulations to the winners during the 52nd convocation ceremony.
Kalu's foundation has set up three categories of awards to recognize and reward academic achievements at UNN. The lawmaker explained that the awards are intended to encourage students to maintain high academic standards and commitment to their studies. He emphasized that education is the best legacy, and his foundation's support is aimed at promoting a culture of excellence within the university.

This year, the overall best graduating student, Ejiofor Chizoba Victor, from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, achieved an impressive 4.93 CGPA. The best graduating student in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Ugwoke Cornelius Chinemeogo, also stood out with a CGPA of 4.81. Remarkably, Ugwoke was also the best graduating student in the Department of Economics, earning a double win.

Kalu congratulated the winners, highlighting their brilliance and hard work.
