Oyo Government Bans Head teachers from Holding Meetings During School Hours

The Oyo State Government has issued a stern warning to headteachers in public primary schools against holding meetings during school hours. Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYO-SUBEB), made this announcement on Tuesday during a school resumption monitoring exercise.

Adeniran emphasized the need for strict adherence to the state's unified school timetable and warned that any headteacher found violating this directive would face severe consequences. He urged unions and associations within the basic education sector to comply with the order.

The chairman also directed education secretaries to communicate this information to headteachers across the state's local government universal basic education authorities. Adeniran expressed satisfaction with the turnout of students and urged teachers to remain dedicated to their duties, reiterating the state's commitment to providing quality education under Governor Seyi Makinde's administration.
