Peter Obi Visits Godfrey Okoye University, Donates ₦15 Million to College of Medical and Nursing Sciences

Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, welcomed former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi during a visit to the College of Medical and Nursing Sciences.

Mr. Obi praised the college for its significant transformation since his previous visit, describing the progress as a testament to dedication, vision, and purposeful leadership. In a move to support the University’s infrastructural development, he contributed ₦15 million toward ongoing projects.

Addressing students, Mr. Obi encouraged them to embrace their roles as future leaders and global citizens, highlighting the importance of proper training, environment, and moral guidance in shaping Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

The visit was attended by Most Reverend Callistus Onaga, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu; Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University; and Professor Amechi Katchy, CMD of GOUNI Teaching Hospital, all of whom commended Mr. Obi’s consistent support and commitment to advancing quality education and healthcare.
