Phoenix University, Agwada, seeks to collaborate with FULafia

The Management of the newly established Phoenix University, Agwada, Kokona L.G.A. of Nasarawa State, has expressed it desire to collaborate with the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) to fast track development of the institution.

The desire for collaboration was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of Phoenix University, Prof Abdullahi Bala, when he led principal officers of the University on a working visit to FULafia, recently.

Bala expressed his gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, for welcoming them to his office, saying that they were in Lafia to familiarise themselves with the workings of FULafia, its Management team members and seek support of the University in the process of developing Phoenix University.

He said: "Although Phoenix University has employed some great academics and administrators, it is  also very important to seek support and hand of fellowship from other great universities such as the Federal University of Lafia."

Prof. Bala expressed his joy with the level of development in FULafia, commending the Management staff of the University for their sense of patriotism and commitment.

Receiving the visitors, Abdul Rahman thanked them for  recognising FULafia as an important partner to work with, noting that no University could single-handedly develop without seeking the help of another, either in the areas of staffing, exchange of ideas or facilities.

The FULafia vice-chancellor assured Bala and his team of the University's readiness to support the Phoenix University.

"Whenever you have a need to seek our support, you should not hesitate to formally write to us and, I assure you that, your request will be looked into,” Abdul Rahman said.

The principal officers who accompanied  Prof Abdullahi Bala to FULafia, included the Registrar, Aisha Abdulkareem, Bursar, Dr. Abdul Dagba, and Amb. Dr Samuel Gimba, University Librarian.

The team from Agwada was received by principal officers, deans and directors of FULafia at the Old Senate Chamber, Permanent Site Campus of the University.
