Rotary Club of Government House, Umuahia Honors Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah for Humanitarian Excellence
Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, a key figure in Abia politics and local industry, was awarded the "Excellence in Humanitarian Service" by the Rotary Club of Government House, Umuahia, in a ceremony over the weekend.

In a ceremony blending tradition and honor, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, a prominent figure in Abia politics and a champion of local industry, received the prestigious "Excellence in Humanitarian Service" award from the Rotary Club of Government House, Umuahia. The award was presented over the weekend in recognition of Dr. Ogah's steadfast dedication to improving the lives of the less fortunate.
The vibrant event was presided over by Prof. Hilary Edoga, former Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Notable attendees included Mrs. Priscilla Otti, wife of the Abia State Governor, represented by Mrs. Emetu, the wife of the Deputy Governor.
Dr. Ogah was represented by Sir Joshua Nnanyerem Ogbonna, Director of Media/Publicity for the ABIA REJOICE MOVEMENT, who conveyed Dr. Ogah’s sincere gratitude for the honor. In his remarks, Dr. Ogah expressed his commitment to future collaborations with the Rotary Club, highlighting shared goals of community upliftment and impactful humanitarian work.
The ceremony also marked a significant leadership transition within the Rotary Club, with Rtn. Love Ezema being installed as the new President, succeeding Rtn. Elizabeth Akwaiwu. This change signals a new chapter for the Club, promising ongoing dedication to service and community development.
