Poetry Club UDUS Calls for Submissions on Bystander Effect

The Poetry Club of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has opened submissions for a special poetry edition titled "Bystander Effect." This edition aims to raise awareness about critical social issues such as stereotyping, profiling, jungle justice, and the bystander effect.
The call is open to African writers, and submissions are expected to reflect on tragic events like the Uromi 16, Deborah, and other victims of mob actions. Poets can submit one or two unpublished poems in a Word document to thepoetryclubudus@gmail.com. Poems can be of any length, as long as they relate to the theme.
The deadline for submission is May 10th, 2025. Five poets will be selected and rewarded with a ₦5,000 token each.
