The University of Ibadan (UI) reached a significant academic milestone as Professor Taiwo Timothy Awoyemi delivered the institution’s 610th Inaugural Lecture on behalf of the Faculty of Agriculture.

The lecture, titled "Nigeria in Persistent Struggle: Nuisance of Unfaithfulness to the Trio of Economic Development," provided a scholarly critique of the nation's developmental challenges from the perspective of Development Economics.

The "Trio" of Development: Professor Awoyemi’s discourse focused on the critical components of economic development and the consequences of the nation’s failure to maintain consistency in its developmental policies.
