Radiographers Registration Board visits ABU, inspects facilities at Department of Medical Radiography

Okeji, advised the University on areas that needed attention to further strengthen the academic programme.

Radiographers Registration Board visits ABU, inspects facilities at Department of Medical Radiography

Members of the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria have visited Ahmadu Bello University for accreditation at the institution’s Department of Medical Radiography where they inspected facilities to ensure the quality of the programme run by the Department.

Speaking today at the exit meeting with the principal officers of the University led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, the Registrar, Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, Prof. Mark C. Okeji, advised the University on areas that needed attention to further strengthen the academic programme.

Prof. Okeji specifically spoke on the need for the University to upgrade and update the Department’s laboratory equipment, software, library, in addition to sourcing additional manpower.

Registrar, however, expressed satisfaction with the commitment of the University and the Department towards improving the programme for the award of Bachelor of Medical Radiography. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, thanked the Board for the visit and assured them of taking note of all the areas highlighted for improvement.
