Redeemer’s University Inducts First Set of Engineering Graduates in Collaboration with NSE
The Redeemer’s University, Ede, made history on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, as the Faculty of Engineering, in partnership with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), held its first-ever Graduates’ Induction and Awards Ceremony.

The event marked the official induction of the University’s pioneer engineering graduates into the NSE, witnessed by top university officials and executives of the NSE Ile-Ife branch, led by Engr. Surajudeen Obayopo.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, lauded the faculty’s milestone and charged the inductees to uphold the core values of the profession. “Technical competence must go hand in hand with integrity,” he emphasized.

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Olanrewaju Adesina, expressed pride in the faculty’s rapid progress, noting its full NUC and COREN accreditation. He also celebrated the outstanding academic performance of the graduates, including Durogbo Joel, who emerged as the Best Graduating Student with a CGPA of 5.00, alongside 17 First-Class graduates.
Guest speakers encouraged the new engineers to drive innovation, uphold ethical standards, and contribute meaningfully to technological advancement in Africa and beyond.

The event symbolized a new chapter in Redeemer’s University’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and professional relevance in engineering education.
