RFMAU First-Class Scholars Congratulate VC, Receive Support for Master’s Transition
First-class graduates from the 22nd–24th Convocation ceremonies of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University (RFMAU) paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Terseer Alabar, on Wednesday to formally congratulate him on his appointment.
The graduates are notable beneficiaries of the 100% scholarship initiative sponsored by the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, aimed at supporting their transition into Master’s degree programmes.
During the interactive session, the scholars used the opportunity to brief the Vice Chancellor on specific challenges they have encountered while pursuing their postgraduate studies under the state scholarship scheme.
In a demonstration of his commitment to student welfare and academic excellence, Prof. Alabar responded to the scholars' concerns with a personal gesture, rewarding the group with the sum of ₦200,000.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the graduates expressed their profound gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his "usual generous manner" and reaffirmed their appreciation to Governor Alia for the life-changing opportunity to further their education.
This visit highlights the growing synergy between the university leadership and its most distinguished alumni as they navigate their advanced academic journeys.
