Rotaract Clubs to Host Webinar on Suicide Prevention for World Suicide Prevention Day
In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day, several Rotaract clubs across Nigeria will host a webinar on September 10, 2024, at 8:00 PM to discuss suicide prevention.

In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, several Rotaract clubs across Nigeria will host a webinar to address the global public health crisis of suicide, which claims over 700,000 lives each year. This issue carries profound social, emotional, and economic impacts on individuals and communities worldwide.
The participating clubs include the Rotaract Club of Umungasi Aba, Rotaract Club of Abia State Polytechnic Aba, Club of Orji Sunrise, Club of Eket, Club of Surulere South, Club of Gregory University Uturu, Club of Madonna College of Health Technology, and Club of Abia State College of Health Science and Management Technology Aba.
The webinar, titled Suicide Prevention Awareness Webinar, is scheduled for September 10, 2024, at 8:00 PM. It will be hosted on Google Meet at this link, with Rtn. Arinze Frank Ugochukwu (FCAI) serving as the guest speaker.
The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of reducing stigma and promoting open discussions to prevent suicides. Attendees will benefit from social media recognition for their clubs, collaboration certificates, and e-certificates for all participants.
