University College Hospital Ibadan has commended its staff for their outstanding performance during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation programme for 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps members held in Oyo State.

The recognition was given on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in appreciation of staff contributions to the three-week orientation exercise conducted at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iseyin between May 21 and June 10, 2025.

According to the Head of the Community Liaison Unit, Mrs. Christianah Ajala, both clinical and non-clinical staff of the hospital demonstrated exceptional commitment and professionalism throughout the programme, which she said contributed significantly to its overall success.

She noted that letters of appreciation were issued to staff members in recognition of their service, describing their participation as a key factor in the smooth execution of the national assignment.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, also commended the staff for upholding the institution’s core values, stating that their conduct reflected positively on the hospital’s reputation and operational standards.

He reaffirmed management’s continued support for national service engagements and related institutional collaborations, emphasizing their importance in strengthening healthcare delivery and civic responsibility.
