UDUS Achieves Full Accreditation for 44 Out of 45 Undergraduate Programs

In the 2024 accreditation exercise, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), secured full accreditation for 44 of its 45 undergraduate programs presented for evaluation.

During a recent Senate meeting, the Vice-Chancellor disclosed that only BSc Microbiology received interim accreditation. Additionally, all the sampled postgraduate programs were fully accredited.

A significant milestone was the full accreditation of the university’s Doctor of Dentistry program. The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Sule Saidu, described this as a remarkable accomplishment for the university and the Vice-Chancellor. He emphasized that despite the program’s small annual graduate output, the critical shortage of dental doctors makes it essential to invest in its accreditation.
