The announcement provides clarity for prospective students seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes offered by the institution.According to the release, the minimum cut-off marks vary across departments, reflecting the competitiveness and entry requirements of each programme.
The College of Health Sciences set the highest benchmark, with Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) requiring 220 marks, while Law follows closely with 190 marks. Candidates seeking admission into Computer Science must attain at least 170 marks, while most other programmes maintain a general cut-off of 150 to 160 marks.

Accounting, Business Administration, Biochemistry, Biology, Economics, and Public Administration – 160 marks
Computer Science – 170 marks
Law – 190 marks
Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) – 220 marks
Environmental Management, Microbiology, and Education Biology – 160 marks
All other programmes – 150 marks
UMYU encourages all prospective candidates who meet the required cut-off marks to proceed with their Post-UTME registration and screening exercise as scheduled.
