UNIABUJA retains NUC's full accreditation for 13 academic programmes

The University of Abuja is pleased to announce the successful outcome of the October/November 2024 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

This exercise, which is a critical quality assurance mechanism, evaluated fourteen academic programmes across various faculties of the University.

We are proud to report that thirteen of the fourteen programmes presented for accreditation retained their full accreditation status, reflecting the University’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality instruction, and institutional integrity. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students, as well as the strategic efforts of the University’s leadership in maintaining high academic standards.

The following programmes have been granted full accreditation by the NUC:

- MSc Business Administration

- MSc Public Administration

- Master of Public Administration

However, the Microbiology programme received interim accreditation. The University is actively addressing the observations made by the NUC and is committed to implementing the necessary improvements to ensure the programme attains full accreditation status in the next review cycle.
