UNILAG Gives Final Deadline for Hostel Registration and Check-In, Warns of Bed-Space Revocation

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued a final reminder to all students allocated hostel bed spaces to complete their registration and check-in processes no later than Saturday, November 7, 2026.

According to the notice, students who have been allocated bed spaces but have neither registered nor checked in are required to complete both processes before the deadline.

Students who have registered but are yet to check in must also report to their respective hostel offices or porters to complete the process by the same date.

All affected students are advised to complete check-in in person and present evidence of their bed-space allocation and registration.

The University stated that revocation of bed spaces would commence on Monday, November 9, 2026. Any bed space not confirmed through registration and check-in by the deadline will be subject to revocation and may be reallocated to other students.

It emphasised that no extension would be granted and urged students to comply with the directive to avoid losing their accommodation.

The notice further clarified that hostel payment and check-in are subject to payment for the 2026/2027 academic session and registration for the first semester. Students must ensure that both requirements have been fulfilled before completing their hostel check-in.

The University also warned that no refund would be made to students who have completed the necessary payment but subsequently refuse to move into their allocated hostels.
