The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is gearing up to host the 19th edition of the Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA) Games, marking the first time in its history that the prestigious event will take place on its campus. The games, which will run from Saturday, October 5 to Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the UNILAG Sports Centre, will bring together over 20 medical schools from across Nigeria for a week of thrilling sporting competition.

A Milestone for UNILAG

As one of Nigeria’s foremost academic institutions, founded in 1962, UNILAG has long been recognized for its excellence in education, research, and extracurricular activities. The UNILAG Sports Centre, which recently hosted the FASU Games 2024, will serve as the venue for the NiMSA Games. Equipped with modern facilities to accommodate football, basketball, track and field events, chess, and scrabble, the centre is set to be the heart of the competition. Athletes will be housed in UNILAG’s halls of residence, ensuring a smooth and accessible experience for all participants.
