The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has denied allegations of involvement in shady deals related to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme.

The university's management described the report by The Guardian newspaper as a mistake, stating that they were not contacted for clarification before the publication.

UNILORIN's management explained that they have received disbursements from NELFUND three times and have promptly paid the funds to their students. They emphasized that the university does not levy any student and has a zero-tolerance policy for illegality.
