UNILORIN Unveils New Fleet of CNG Buses and Electric Tricycles to Alleviate Campus Transport Challenges

The management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has initiated a strategic intervention to address persistent transportation challenges on campus by introducing a modern fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses and electric tricycles. 

The move, announced today, January 6, 2026, aims to improve transit efficiency and ensure reliability for the university community. 

The introduction of these energy-efficient vehicles is expected to revolutionize campus logistics, providing students and staff with affordable, reliable, and environmentally friendly transportation options. The initiative is a direct response to longstanding transport woes and part of the administration's effort to enhance the overall campus experience.
