UNIMAID VC Commends Organisers Ahead of 40th National Qur’anic Recitation Competition

Speaking through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Central Administration), Professor Babagana Bako, the Vice-Chancellor gave the commendation while receiving members of the competition’s organising committee on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building, University of Maiduguri.
The committee visited the institution as part of its preparatory and assessment tour ahead of the competition, which is scheduled to hold at the Muhammadu Indimi International Conference Centre, University of Maiduguri. The visit also focused on inspecting facilities and ensuring logistical readiness for the national event.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Professor Bashir Garba, expressed gratitude to UNIMAID for its continued partnership and support in advancing Islamic education and cultural exchange within Nigerian universities.
He further encouraged residents of Borno State and beyond to participate actively in the forthcoming competition and lend their support to the successful hosting of the event, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting the teaching, memorisation, and appreciation of the Holy Qur’an across the nation.
