UNIPORT Alumni Board of Trustees Unveils Proposed Legacy Projects for University

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Prof. Chike Princewill, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, received the Board of Trustees of the University’s Alumni Association, led by Senator Darlington Nwokocha.
The delegation congratulated Prof. Princewill on his appointment as the 10th Vice-Chancellor of the University and reaffirmed its support for his administration.
The Alumni Board of Trustees also expressed its commitment to strengthening collaboration between the University and its alumni.
As part of the visit, the Alumni Board of Trustees unveiled proposed legacy projects for the University aimed at supporting its development and enhancing its global visibility.
The proposed projects include:
• Hall of Fame
• Museum
• Aesthetically pleasing landscaping
• Agric Hub
• Bakery
• Water project
