University of Ibadan Student Arrested for Alleged Rape of Colleague

In a disturbing incident, a 200-level student from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ibadan was apprehended by campus security personnel for allegedly raping a 100-level colleague within the university premises.

Luck favored the victim when another student entered the scene, causing the suspect to flee. The incident was reported to the institution's authorities, and investigations are underway.
University spokesperson Mrs. Joke Akinpelu confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect was held by the security unit until late the previous day. She added that the Dean of Students Affairs is actively involved in the investigation, and the truth of the allegations will be determined upon its completion.
